St. Peter’s Health Partners | Adirondack Diagnostic Imaging Center For Women

“Every building deserves the maximum amount of artistic exploration with a considered, deliberate approach. We seek to create spaces which impart feelings that you’re a participant in something exceptional, where function leads to calm, awe or inspiration. Our core values strive to convey that quality in every project we touch, from the modest to the extravagant.” ~Fredrick Franko, Director of Design

  • Project Size: 4,800-sf
  • Project Location: 3 Emma Ln, Clifton Park, NY 12065
  • Project Team: St. Peter's Health Partners
  • Completion Date: September 2003
  • Construction Cost: $500,000
  • Owner Contact: Michael McDonough, Asst. V.P. and Director of Facilities
  • Project Request:

To fit out the interior of a stand-alone imaging and women’s center in Clifton Park.

  • Project Solution:

The facility was designed to provide a common entry and reception area for all patients. Once inside, a separate suite was provided exclusively for women’s services. Shared functions include check-in/registration, business office, and medical records. After registering, Women’s Center patients enter into a separate suite with private waiting area. The separate 750-sf center includes areas for mammography, ultrasound, and bone densitometry, as well as a waiting room, two change rooms, and private toilet room. The Imaging Center provides a separate 14-seat waiting area, a CT, open .7T MRI, PET scanner, associated equipment/control rooms, three change rooms, and toilet, lab, utility, and staff break rooms. A separate rear staff entry is also wide enough be used for patients brought to the center on a stretcher. Adirondack Diagnostic Imaging requested special attention be paid to finishes to provide an especially comfortable atmosphere for their patients and distinguish this facility from their competition. In response, HHA provided a patterned wood grain reception desk, ceramic tile flooring at the entry, carpet borders throughout the circulation and women’s center treatment rooms and a variety of soffits throughout the facility.
