Architect level I:

Hyman Hayes Associates (HHA) is currently seeking an Architect I to join our team in our Latham, NY office.

At HHA, our focus is healthcare, higher education, publicly funded and community design projects.

We are a team of architects and planners dedicated to designing spaces that promote healing, education, and a sense of community.

Our firm is committed to improving people’s quality of life through exceptional design and service for our clients and professional fulfillment for our team.

Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in architecture.
  • 3-7 years post-graduate design and construction administration experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Ability to work in-person at our Latham, NY office.
  • Fully competent architect in all conventional aspects of architecture.
  • Registered architect in New York State (preferred).

Responsibilities:

1. Independently perform a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity.

2. Assume responsibility for overseeing and organizing a project from its inception to its completion.

3. Take charge of envisioning and implementing the comprehensive artistic, practical, and spatial components of a building.

4. Must be able to translate the client’s requirements into architectural documents, incorporating building codes, regulations, and feasibility of the design.

5. Work on architectural projects from conception through construction, including interaction with clients, managing project teams, and coordinating with consultants.

6. Perform analyses of design, planning, and occupancy studies, and design layouts.

7. Prepare project specifications, compiling and analyzing relevant data.

8. Write reports and specifications. Review completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations.

9. Guide and mentor young professionals in the firm.

Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
