Steel Erected - $ 5.6 million Amsterdam Medical Office Building
Structural steel erection and wood framing for the $5.6 million Amsterdam Medical Office Building began Monday, December 11th , and by Wednesday, it was almost complete!
Simultaneously, framers began to build the exterior load-bearing walls on the ground, and then over the next few days, they will be tipped up into place.
The structural system for the building is a hybrid, cost-effective solution, combining a structural steel frame for one half of the building and a more traditional wood-framed platform design for the other half. This 10,050 SF project is a joint venture by Albany Medical Center and Nathan Littauer Hospital. It will contain urgent care, primary care, and specialty services.
