New Construction: Medical Examiner's Office | Goshen, NY
Prior to the holidays, Orange County held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new building. The event was met with enthusiastic comments from the crowd, who expressed their appreciation for the significant improvement over the current workspace. The County has already begun the process of relocating to the new facility. (News article here: https://www.orangecountygov.com/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=2242)
One common observation made by attendees was the thoughtful design elements that cater to the needs of families who may find themselves in unfortunate circumstances requiring a visit to the building. Creating a calming and dignified space for the community was a top priority, and based on the feedback received, it is evident that this goal has been successfully achieved.
Congratulations to all those involved in bringing this project to fruition!
Project At-a-Glance
The medical examiner staff has been working in temporary trailer facilities located at the Orange County Emergency Services Building. With a continuous increase in the number of cases, the county expressed a need for a new building that would have an exterior presence, improve day-to-day operations, and allow enough space for future growth.
